What we store on your device
YouTubePre stores your queue, favorites, watch history, followed countries, and autoplay preference entirely in your browser's localStorage. None of this data is sent to our servers. You can clear it at any time by clearing your browser's site data.
What we measure
We measure aggregate, cookieless visit counts on the pages you load. With your explicit consent, we also collect anonymous product analytics events (e.g. “was a next-video card clicked?”) so we can improve the discovery experience. You can change this choice at any time by clearing site data and reloading.
Third-party players
Playback uses YouTube and Dailymotion players hosted by those services. When you play a video, your browser talks directly to them — they may set their own cookies and apply their own privacy policies. To minimize this, we use youtube-nocookie.comfor embeds where possible.
Your data deletion request
We don't hold a user account, so there is no server-side profile to delete. Clearing your browser's site data for this domain removes every piece of state we keep about you.
